I am Accepted Because I am Chosen and Adopted By God

Scripture: Ephesians 1:4–5 – “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.”

Before you were ever born, God had already set His heart on you. He saw your life from beginning to end—your struggles, your faith, your love for Him—and He chose you. The Creator of the universe looked upon all humanity and said, “That one belongs to Me.” It feels good to be chosen for something, whether it’s a team, a job, or a relationship. But there is no greater joy than knowing that the Almighty God has chosen you to be His very own child.

He didn’t just want you near Him—He wanted you in His family. Through Jesus Christ, God not only forgives you but adopts you, giving you full rights and privileges as His son or daughter. Romans 8:17 reminds us, “Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.” Everything that belongs to Jesus now belongs to you: His peace, His joy, His strength, and His eternal inheritance.

So if you ever feel rejected, forgotten, or unworthy, remember this truth—God chose you because you are exactly who He wanted in His family. You are not an accident; you are an answer to God’s heart’s desire. He loves you deeply and stands ready to provide for every need. Instead of despising yourself or focusing on what you lack, lift your eyes and thank your Father who has called you His own. Walk today with confidence, knowing you are chosen, loved, and forever accepted.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for choosing me before the foundation of the world and adopting me as Your child. When I feel rejected or unworthy, remind me that I am deeply loved and fully accepted in Christ. Help me to walk in gratitude and confidence today, trusting that You will meet every need and guide my steps as Your beloved child. In Jesus’ name, amen.
