I am Accepted Because…I am a Child of God
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12
When you were born again, everything about your life changed. Many people assume that everyone is automatically a child of God, but Scripture teaches otherwise. Jesus Himself told the religious hypocrites that they were children of the devil because they imitated his works. But those who receive Christ, who believe and surrender to Him, are adopted into God’s family. You now belong to the Father, and your identity is rooted in His love.
As a child of God, you have access to His presence, His peace, and His promises. Just like a child freely enters the father’s house, you are welcomed into God’s presence with confidence. You are not rejected, abandoned, or overlooked—you are accepted, cherished, and deeply loved. When rejection or loneliness whispers to your heart, remember that your Father is near. He lives inside of you by His Spirit, to comfort, guide, and strengthen you.
Whatever you need today—peace, joy, hope, forgiveness, strength—your Father offers it freely. Call on Him, cry out “Abba, Father,” and let Him hold you with His perfect love. In His embrace, you will always find acceptance.
Prayer
Father, thank You for making me Your child through Jesus Christ. When I feel rejected or alone, remind me of Your never-failing love. Help me walk in the truth that I am accepted, cherished, and cared for by You. Fill me with Your joy, peace, and strength today. I call on You, Abba Father, and I trust that You will supply all I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
